I offer career guidance for Grade 10-12 learners across South Africa, conducted entirely online, combining psychometric assessment with one-on-one feedback. My assessments combine several psychometric tests rather than a single questionnaire. At My Career Plan, you will receive:

Career counselling for adults
I also work with university students and adults who feel stuck, are considering a career change, or are returning to work after a break.
The process follows the same three steps: an initial consultation, psychometric assessment and a one-on-one feedback session.
The assessments and report focus on where you are now, including your strengths, work values, motivators and transferable skills, and on realistic next steps, whether that's retraining, a change in role or a completely new direction.
The same packages apply for adults.
Everything is done online, so you can complete the assessments around your work schedule.

FAQ
How long does the psychometric testing take?
The aptitude test can take anything from 1-3 hours and needs to be done online with me. Saturday sessions are available for aptitude testing. The remainder of the tests take approximately 2-3 hours and can be done remotely at a time convenient for you.
Do I need to do anything to prepare?
No preparation needed. You may be asked to send the most recent school report or your work history before the initial consultation. I will guide you through the rest.
How long does it take to get the results?
It will usually take 5 working days. I can accommodate urgent requests depending on availability.
What grade should my child have career guidance?
It depends on the decision your child is facing. In Grade 9, guidance focuses on choosing subjects that keep future options open. For career and study decisions, the ideal time is Grade 11 or early Grade 12, before university applications open.
Is it done online?
Yes. The whole process takes place online, so learners anywhere in South Africa can take part without travelling. Your child completes the assessment from home and receives feedback in a one-on-one online session.
How is this different from career guidance at school?
School programmes are a useful introduction, but they're designed for large groups, so assessments tend to be brief and feedback general. An individual assessment looks at your child's aptitude, interests, personality and values in depth, and relates the results to specific study and career options, with time to talk them through.
